My name is Meredith Spielman.
I started my business with the mission to help Spanish-speakers living and working in English to feel confident about how they sound.
I did accent training in Spanish, my second language, and the results changed my life. When I speak Spanish with a native-like accent and rhythm, people understand me.
This is exactly what I want for my students.
I've been closely working with Spanish-speakers and have built a community of 250,000 followers on Instagram, and I've worked with hundreds of students to improve their pronunciation and accent in English.
Students see real results and love working with me because I have closely studied the phonetics of both Spanish and English. This makes me uniquely equipped to help Spanish-speakers speak English with a clear, neutral American accent.

Accent Fundamentals offers two 4-week mini-courses.Ā These two courses cover ALL the fundamental sounds that make up the American accent.Ā We offer a Vowels Intensive and a Consonants Intensive. Take the courses in the order that suits you best!Ā (You can read more about the 2 courses below)
šĀ Flipped Classroom Model:
The flipped classroom model is a highly effective learning modality. Rather than the teacher spending all of our limited class time talking and explaining the concepts, the student will watch the pre-recorded lesson on their own before class. Then, we will use our class time to practice what you learned and receive real-time feedback from me.

Every week consists of 4 elements:
1.
šŗĀ The Video Lesson
In the flipped classroom model, you do the learning and absorbing of new information on your own before class time. Before every live session, it is your responsibility to watch the video lesson entirely. This will give you time to absorb the information and form questions for our live session.
2.
š± The Live Session
After learning what I teach in the video lesson, we meet in a small group to practice. We will do guided reading exercises and more. I will take time to listen to each student and provide individualized feedback and coaching.Ā (This is the beauty of the flipped classroomārather than me talking the entire hour, you will be able to apply what you learned with me there to guide you.)
3.
šÆ TheĀ Practice
My method works by turningĀ new sounds into muscle memory, so that you use the correct pronunciation automatically, without needing to think about itĀ (like riding a bike!). Each week, you will receive a PDF with all the exercises of my proven training method, and a weekly training schedule to follow.
4.
š£ļø The Homework and Feedback
After completing The Practice on your own to build your muscle memory, I will ask you to send a reading assignment to the WhatsApp group. I will listen to your audios and reply with a voice message with specific and personalized feedback.
